Endurance Race – for 20 Teams (with 4 – 6 Drivers)
An endurance kart racing is a format devised specifically for teams – ideal for team building exercises and groups aiming to maximise driving time. The number of drivers per team will vary depending on group size with the race length being based on each driver completing 30 minutes driving time. For example: a group containing 30 drivers would be divided into 15 teams of 2 with the race lasting 1 hour; a group containing 42 drivers would be divided into 14 teams of 3 with the go karting race lasting 1 hour and 30 minutes, and so on.
Each endurance race begins with a timed practice/qualifying session giving each driver the chance to familiarise themselves with the racing circuit layout and karts before the race proper. Following the practice session the karts are arranged in qualifying order ready for the race to begin. Drivers are given the opportunity to decide their own race strategy allowing teams to select who starts, who finishes and every driver change in between. The idea is to score as many laps as possible before the chequered flag. The top three finishing teams will receive trophies for their efforts.
Even when not in the kart, your team can still participate by monitoring your kart race position deciding the best time to change drivers using the comprehensive race information displayed on our LCD timing screens.
